Now, I'd like you to find a comfortable position and allow your body to relax. Take a deep breath in through your nose, [Pause 2 seconds] and exhale slowly through your mouth. [Pause 2 seconds] Again, breathe in deeply, [Pause 2 seconds] and out slowly. [Pause 2 seconds] With each breath, feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed. [Pause 3 seconds] Focus your attention on your toes. [Pause 1 seconds] Feel them becoming heavy and relaxed. [Pause 2 seconds] This relaxation is slowly moving up through your feet, [Pause 1 seconds] into your ankles, [Pause 1 seconds] and up into your calves. [Pause 2 seconds] Feel the warmth and relaxation spreading up through your legs, [Pause 1 seconds] into your thighs, [Pause 1 seconds] and into your hips. [Pause 2 seconds] Now, let this wave of relaxation flow up into your abdomen, [Pause 1 seconds] your chest, [Pause 1 seconds] and your back. [Pause 2 seconds] Feel your breathing becoming slower and deeper as you relax more and more. [Pause 3 seconds] The relaxation continues to spread, moving into your shoulders, [Pause 1 seconds] down your arms, [Pause 1 seconds] into your hands and fingers. [Pause 2 seconds] Feel any remaining tension melting away. [Pause 3 seconds] Finally, let this soothing relaxation move up into your neck, [Pause 1 seconds] your jaw, [Pause 1 seconds] your face, [Pause 1 seconds] and the top of your head. [Pause 2 seconds] Your entire body is now completely relaxed and at ease. [Pause 3 seconds] As you continue to breathe slowly and deeply, I'm going to count down from 10 to 1. With each number, you'll find yourself drifting deeper into a state of relaxation and focused awareness. [Pause 2 seconds] 10... 9... drifting deeper... [Pause 2 seconds] 8... 7... more and more relaxed... [Pause 2 seconds] 6... 5... letting go of any remaining tension... [Pause 2 seconds] 4... 3... entering a state of calm focus... Imagine yourself standing at the entrance of a beautiful garden.
