Welcome, and thank you for coming today. I understand you've been experiencing some anxiety when thinking about attending large events. It's a common concern, and I want you to know that hypnotherapy can be an effective tool in managing these feelings. During our session, we'll work on relaxing your mind and body, and introduce positive suggestions to help you feel more at ease in social situations. Remember, you're always in control during hypnosis, and you can open your eyes and end the session at any time if you feel uncomfortable. Are you ready to begin this journey towards feeling more confident and relaxed at large events?
Now, I'd like you to make yourself comfortable in your chair. Take a deep breath in through your nose, [Pause 2 seconds] and exhale slowly through your mouth. [Pause 2 seconds] That's right. With each breath, allow yourself to relax more deeply. [Pause 2 seconds] Focus on your breathing, noticing the cool air as you inhale [Pause 1 seconds], and the warm air as you exhale. [Pause 2 seconds] As you continue to breathe naturally and comfortably, I want you to become aware of any tension in your body. [Pause 2 seconds] Starting with your toes, allow that tension to melt away. [Pause 1 seconds] Feel the relaxation spreading up through your feet, [Pause 1 seconds] your ankles, [Pause 1 seconds] and into your calves. [Pause 2 seconds] The relaxation continues to move up into your thighs, [Pause 1 seconds] your hips, [Pause 1 seconds] and your lower back. [Pause 2 seconds] Feel your abdomen and chest becoming more and more relaxed with each breath. [Pause 2 seconds] The relaxation flows down your arms, [Pause 1 seconds] through your hands, [Pause 1 seconds] and out through your fingertips. [Pause 2 seconds] Your shoulders release any remaining tension, [Pause 1 seconds] your neck softens, [Pause 1 seconds] and the muscles in your face gently relax. [Pause 2 seconds] As your entire body becomes more and more relaxed, allow your eyelids to grow heavy. [Pause 2 seconds] When they feel too heavy to keep open, let them gently close. [Pause 5 seconds] That's right, you're doing wonderfully.
Now, I'd like you to imagine yourself in a peaceful, natural setting. [Pause 2 seconds] Perhaps it's a quiet beach, [Pause 1 seconds] or a serene forest glade. [Pause 2 seconds] Wherever you feel most at ease. [Pause 2 seconds] Take in the sights, [Pause 1 seconds] the sounds, [Pause 1 seconds] and the smells of this tranquil place. [Pause 2 seconds] Feel the gentle warmth of the sun on your skin, [Pause 1 seconds] and the soft ground beneath you. [Pause 2 seconds] This is your safe space, [Pause 1 seconds] a place where you feel completely calm and at peace. [Pause 2 seconds] Whenever you need to, you can return to this place in your mind, [Pause 1 seconds] finding instant relaxation and comfort. [Pause 5 seconds]
As you continue to relax in your safe space, I'm going to count down from 10 to 1. [Pause 2 seconds] With each number, you'll find yourself sinking deeper and deeper into a state of calm relaxation. [Pause 2 seconds] 10... feeling very relaxed. [Pause 2 seconds] 9... sinking deeper. [Pause 2 seconds] 8... letting go of any remaining tension. [Pause 2 seconds] 7... feeling safe and secure. [Pause 2 seconds] 6... drifting deeper and deeper. [Pause 2 seconds] 5... halfway there, feeling wonderful. [Pause 2 seconds] 4... your mind becoming quiet and still. [Pause 2 seconds] 3... deeply relaxed. [Pause 2 seconds] 2... almost there. [Pause 2 seconds] 1... you've now reached a deep state of relaxation. [Pause 5 seconds]
In this deeply relaxed state, your mind is open to positive suggestions. [Pause 2 seconds] Imagine yourself preparing to attend a large event. [Pause 2 seconds] As you think about it, you notice something different. [Pause 2 seconds] Instead of your heart racing, it beats steadily and calmly. [Pause 2 seconds] Your face feels cool and comfortable. [Pause 2 seconds] You feel a sense of excitement and anticipation, [Pause 1 seconds] rather than anxiety. [Pause 2 seconds] You see yourself walking into the event with confidence, [Pause 1 seconds] your posture relaxed and your breathing easy. [Pause 2 seconds] You're able to engage in conversations effortlessly, [Pause 1 seconds] feeling at ease in the presence of others. [Pause 2 seconds] You realize that everyone around you is just like you, [Pause 1 seconds] seeking connection and enjoyment. [Pause 2 seconds] You find yourself smiling, [Pause 1 seconds] genuinely enjoying the atmosphere and the company. [Pause 2 seconds] With each interaction, you feel more and more comfortable, [Pause 1 seconds] your confidence growing naturally. [Pause 2 seconds] You are safe, [Pause 1 seconds] you are calm, [Pause 1 seconds] and you belong. [Pause 5 seconds]
Now, imagine yourself in the future, [Pause 1 seconds] preparing for another large event. [Pause 2 seconds] As you think about attending, you feel a sense of calm confidence wash over you. [Pause 2 seconds] You know that you have the tools to feel relaxed and at ease in any social situation. [Pause 2 seconds] You see yourself getting ready, [Pause 1 seconds] choosing an outfit that makes you feel comfortable and confident. [Pause 2 seconds] As you arrive at the event, you take a deep breath, [Pause 1 seconds] feeling your body relax and your mind clear. [Pause 2 seconds] You enter the space with a smile, [Pause 1 seconds] ready to engage and enjoy yourself. [Pause 2 seconds] Throughout the event, you find yourself naturally gravitating towards interesting conversations, [Pause 1 seconds] feeling relaxed and present in each moment. [Pause 2 seconds] You're surprised at how easy and enjoyable it all feels. [Pause 2 seconds] This is the new you, [Pause 1 seconds] confident and comfortable in social situations. [Pause 5 seconds]
Now, it's time to gently return to full awareness. [Pause 2 seconds] I'm going to count from 1 to 5, [Pause 1 seconds] and with each number, you'll feel yourself becoming more alert and refreshed. [Pause 2 seconds] 1... start to become aware of your surroundings. [Pause 2 seconds] 2... feeling energy returning to your body. [Pause 2 seconds] 3... your mind becoming clear and alert. [Pause 2 seconds] 4... when you're ready, begin to move your fingers and toes. [Pause 2 seconds] 5... open your eyes, feeling fully awake, refreshed, and confident. [Pause 5 seconds]
Welcome back. How do you feel? [Pause 2 seconds] Remember, the calm and confidence you experienced during our session is always available to you. [Pause 2 seconds] Whenever you're preparing for a large event, take a moment to breathe deeply and recall the peaceful feelings and positive images from our session.
