As you prepare to begin this self-hypnosis session, find a comfortable position [Pause 4 seconds] where you can remain undisturbed for the next little while. [Pause 6 seconds] Make sure your body is supported [Pause 3 seconds] and you feel at ease. [Pause 5 seconds] Take a few deep, cleansing breaths [Pause 6 seconds] to allow your mind to become focused and receptive. [Pause 8 seconds] You are here by your own choice [Pause 4 seconds] to reinforce the virtuous and clean thoughts and behaviors [Pause 6 seconds] that align with your beliefs and values as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As you continue breathing slowly and naturally, [Pause 6 seconds] allow your eyes to gently close. [Pause 4 seconds] With each exhale, [Pause 3 seconds] feel your body becoming more and more relaxed. [Pause 6 seconds] Imagine a warm, soothing light [Pause 4 seconds] flowing down through the top of your head [Pause 6 seconds] and spreading throughout your entire being. [Pause 8 seconds] This light carries with it a profound sense of peace and tranquility, [Pause 6 seconds] allowing any worries or concerns to simply melt away. [Pause 8 seconds]
Picture yourself in a serene, natural setting [Pause 6 seconds] that feels spiritually uplifting and pure to you. In the days and weeks ahead, [Pause 6 seconds] you may find yourself in situations [Pause 4 seconds] where unvirtuous thoughts could try to enter your mind. [Pause 8 seconds] When that happens, simply return your focus [Pause 6 seconds] to the feelings of peace and purity [Pause 4 seconds] you are experiencing in this moment.
