If you're sitting, let your hands rest naturally on your lap, palms facing up or down, whatever feels easy. If you're lying down, let your arms rest gently at your sides. Go ahead and let your body settle into that position now. In a moment I'm going to ask you to close your eyes, but not just yet. Just get comfortable first. Now, what we're doing today is something really lovely and a little bit unusual. We're going to use the natural, steady hum of your refrigerator as an anchor, a kind of signal to your nervous system that says "right now, you are safe, you are calm, and something quietly wonderful is happening." You don't need to be near your fridge right now for this to work. Your mind is going to do the heavy lifting, building that association so deeply that the next time you hear that hum, your body just knows what to do. There's nothing you need to force or figure out. All you have to do is listen. If your mind wanders, that's completely fine. Just gently come back to my voice whenever you notice.
