Overthinking at Night Sleep Hypnosis | Listen 7 Nights

Before we begin, just make sure you're lying down comfortably in your bed, or wherever you'll be sleeping tonight. Let your arms rest naturally at your sides, or gently on your belly or your chest — wherever feels most natural. Allow your legs to be uncrossed and relaxed. You don't need to do anything special tonight. There's nothing to figure out, nothing to solve, and nothing to get right. This session is designed to guide you gently toward sleep, so if you drift off before it ends, that's not just okay — that's exactly the goal. You don't need to listen to every word. Your mind can wander. Your body can sink. In fact, the more you stop trying to follow along, the better this will work. This session uses mindfulness — a gentle, present-moment awareness — not to keep you awake and alert, but to give your busy mind something soft to rest on, so it can finally let go of the day. You'll be guided to notice what's happening right now, in your body and in the room, and slowly, that noticing will replace the replaying. The day is done. What happened, happened. And tonight, none of it needs your attention. So close your eyes now, whenever you feel ready, and let's begin.

Bring your attention to this present moment. [6 second pause] Notice what you can hear right now. [8 second pause] Perhaps the quiet hum of the room around you. [7 second pause] Maybe sounds from outside, distant and soft. [8 second pause] Just notice them. You don't need to name them or understand them. [7 second pause] Simply let them exist, the way background music exists in a room you've stopped listening to. [9 second pause] And now, notice what you can feel. [7 second pause] The weight of your body against the surface beneath you. [8 second pause] The places where you are supported — your shoulders, your hips, the backs of your legs. [9 second pause] Feel how the surface holds you. [8 second pause] You don't have to hold yourself up. [7 second pause] You can let go of that effort right now. [10 second pause] Notice the temperature of the air on your skin. [8 second pause] Perhaps the gentle warmth under the covers, or the cool softness of the pillow beneath your head.
