Find a comfortable position where you can remain undisturbed for the duration of this session. You may sit in a supportive chair with your feet flat on the floor, or lie down if you prefer. Let your hands rest naturally at your sides or on your lap, whichever feels most comfortable. You can begin with your eyes open or softly closed, whatever feels right for you in this moment. There is nothing you need to do, nothing you need to figure out. Simply allow yourself to be present, knowing that this time is for you, for your comfort, for your wellbeing. You are safe here. Bring your attention to this present moment. [5 second pause] Notice what you can hear, feel, and sense right now. [6 second pause] Perhaps there are sounds in the room around you, or sounds from further away. You don't need to label them or analyze them. Just notice them, like waves coming and going. [6 second pause] And notice what you can feel. The surface beneath you, supporting you. The air on your skin. The weight of your body resting comfortably. [6 second pause] There's nothing to judge here. Nothing to fix or change. Simply observing what is present, right now, in this moment. [8 second pause] And as you observe, you might notice that thoughts come and go, like clouds drifting across a wide, open sky. You can watch them without following them, without getting caught up in their stories. [6 second pause] Just noticing. [5 second pause] Present. [5 second pause] Aware. [6 second pause] And when you're ready, allowing your eyes to close if they haven't already, knowing that you can maintain this gentle awareness, this present-moment attention, with your eyes closed. [8 second pause] That's right. [5 second pause] Still noticing. [5 second pause] Still here. [6 second pause] Present in this moment, in this breath, in this body. [8 second pause]

And now, bringing your attention to your breath. [5 second pause] Not changing it, not controlling it. Simply noticing the natural rhythm of your breathing. [6 second pause] The gentle rise and fall. [5 second pause] The way each breath flows in, and flows out, all on its own, without any effort from you. [6 second pause] Your body knows how to breathe. [5 second pause] It has known how to breathe since the moment you were born. [6 second pause] And in the same way, your body knows how to feel calm. [5 second pause] It has known calm since before you had words for it. [6 second pause] Somewhere inside you, there is a place of stillness. [5 second pause] A quiet center, like the calm eye at the center of a storm. [6 second pause] And you can find that place now. [5 second pause] That part of you that is always steady, always present, always at peace. [8 second pause] Imagine settling into that stillness. [6 second pause] Like sinking into a comfortable chair at the end of a long day. [5 second pause] Letting go. [5 second pause] Resting there. [6 second pause] And from this place of calm, this centered awareness, you can observe anything without being overwhelmed by it. [6 second pause] Just as you can watch clouds drift across the sky without becoming the clouds, you can observe thoughts and feelings without becoming them. [8 second pause]

And as you rest in this calm, centered place, I'm going to count from ten down to one. [5 second pause] With each number, you can sink deeper into this comfortable state of relaxed awareness. [5 second pause] There's no right or wrong way to experience this. Simply allowing whatever happens to happen. [6 second pause] Ten. [8 second pause] Sinking deeper into comfort. [5 second pause] Nine. [6 second pause] Letting go a little more. [5 second pause] Eight. [6 second pause] Deeper into that quiet center within you. [5 second pause] Seven. [6 second pause] More relaxed, more at ease. [5 second pause] Six. [6 second pause] Drifting down, like a leaf settling on still water. [5 second pause] Five. [6 second pause] Halfway there, feeling so calm, so comfortable. [5 second pause] Four. [6 second pause] Deeper still. [5 second pause] Three. [6 second pause] Sinking into peace. [5 second pause] Two. [6 second pause] Almost there. [5 second pause] One. [8 second pause] Deeply relaxed. [5 second pause] Deeply present. [6 second pause] And from this place, your mind is open and receptive. [5 second pause] Ready to create new patterns, new responses, new ways of being. [8 second pause]

And I wonder if you can remember a time when you learned something new. [6 second pause] Something that once seemed unfamiliar, perhaps even a little uncertain. [5 second pause] And then, over time, it became natural. [5 second pause] Easy. [6 second pause] Your mind has a remarkable ability to take what is unfamiliar and make it familiar. [5 second pause] To take what is unknown and make it known. [6 second pause] You've done this countless times throughout your life. [5 second pause] And your unconscious mind knows how to do this with driving, as well. [8 second pause] Because here's what's interesting about unfamiliar places. [5 second pause] They're only unfamiliar until you've been there. [6 second pause] And even before you've been somewhere, your mind has resources you might not even realize. [6 second pause] The ability to stay calm. [5 second pause] The ability to adapt. [5 second pause] The ability to trust yourself. [8 second pause] Think of a navigator on a ship. [5 second pause] In centuries past, sailors would venture into unknown waters, not because they knew exactly what they would find, but because they trusted their ability to navigate whatever they encountered. [6 second pause] They had skills. [5 second pause] They had tools. [5 second pause] They had each other. [6 second pause] And most importantly, they had confidence in their capacity to handle the journey. [8 second pause] You have that same capacity within you. [5 second pause] Your unconscious mind processes so much more than your conscious mind could ever track. [6 second pause] It notices the road, the signs, the flow of traffic, the position of other vehicles. [5 second pause] It makes countless adjustments every moment you drive, keeping you safe, keeping you steady. [8 second pause] And you can trust that. [5 second pause] You can trust the part of you that knows how to drive, that knows how to navigate, that knows how to respond appropriately to whatever arises. [6 second pause] Because the truth is, you've already navigated so much in your life. [5 second pause] Unfamiliar situations. [5 second pause] Unexpected moments. [5 second pause] And here you are. [6 second pause] You've made it through every single day of your life so far. [5 second pause] That's not luck. [5 second pause] That's capability. [6 second pause] A sense of relaxed alertness, rather than tense anxiety. [5 second pause] A quiet confidence that says, I can handle this. [6 second pause] I know how to drive. [5 second pause] I know how to stay calm. [5 second pause] I know how to find my way. [8 second pause] And if I get lost, that's okay too. [6 second pause] Because getting lost is just finding a different route. [5 second pause] It's not a problem. [5 second pause] It's not a failure. [5 second pause] It's just part of the adventure. And now, allowing your mind to drift forward in time. [6 second pause] Imagine a situation in the near future where you have the opportunity to drive somewhere unfamiliar. [6 second pause] See yourself preparing for the journey. [5 second pause] Notice how you feel. [5 second pause] A sense of calm. [5 second pause] A sense of readiness. [6 second pause] You might check your route, not because you need to control everything, but because it's simply what you do when you're going somewhere new. [6 second pause] Practical. [5 second pause] Relaxed. [6 second pause] And then see yourself getting into your vehicle. [5 second pause] Settling into the driver's seat. [5 second pause] Hands on the wheel. [6 second pause] Taking a breath. [5 second pause] Feeling that centered calm within you. [8 second pause] And as you imagine driving, notice how natural it feels. [6 second pause] The road unfolding before you. [5 second pause] Signs passing by. [5 second pause] Other vehicles moving in their lanes. [6 second pause] And you, steady and calm, navigating your way. [8 second pause] If something unexpected happens, you respond with ease. [5 second pause] If you need to turn around, you do so without frustration. [6 second pause] If traffic slows, you wait patiently. [5 second pause] Because you know that you are capable. [5 second pause] You are competent. [5 second pause] You are calm. [8 second pause] And when you arrive at your destination, notice the feeling of satisfaction. [6 second pause] The quiet pride of having gone somewhere new. [5 second pause] Of having expanded your horizons. [5 second pause] Of having trusted yourself and your abilities. [8 second pause] And notice how natural this feels. [5 second pause] How easy it is to imagine yourself this way. [6 second pause] Because this version of you already exists. [5 second pause] It's the part of you that has always been capable, always been competent. [6 second pause] Simply waiting to be recognized. [5 second pause] Simply waiting to be trusted. And now, as this session comes to a close, you can begin to bring your awareness back to the room around you. [6 second pause] Not rushing. [5 second pause] Taking your time. [6 second pause] Noticing the surface beneath you again. [5 second pause] The weight of your body. [5 second pause] The sound of my voice. [6 second pause] And as I count from one up to five, you can return to full, alert wakefulness, feeling calm, confident, and refreshed. [6 second pause] One. [5 second pause] Beginning to return. [5 second pause] Two. [5 second pause] Taking a deeper breath. [5 second pause] Three. [5 second pause] Feeling energy returning to your body. [5 second pause] Four. [5 second pause] Eyes beginning to open, feeling calm and clear. [5 second pause] Five. [6 second pause] Fully present, fully alert, feeling confident and at ease. [6 second pause] Knowing that you can drive anywhere you need to go. [5 second pause] Trusting yourself. [5 second pause] Trusting your abilities.
