Welcome to this hypnotherapy session designed to help you relax deeply, rehearse tomorrow's negotiation with quiet confidence, and drift into a natural, restful sleep. Before we begin, let's get you set up properly. Find a comfortable position lying down in your bed, with your arms resting gently at your sides or on your stomach — whichever feels most natural. Let your legs be uncrossed and loose. You don't need to do anything with your hands other than let them rest. Close your eyes now, or allow them to close gently as we begin. This session will guide you through a progressive relaxation, then into a gentle mental rehearsal where your mind will absorb the feeling of holding your number calmly and confidently — not through force, but through a deep, settled sense of knowing your worth. You don't need to stay awake for this session to work. In fact, the suggestions will continue to be absorbed even as you drift off to sleep. There is nothing you need to do, nowhere you need to be, and nothing you need to figure out tonight. Your only job right now is to let go. If at any point your mind wanders, that is perfectly fine — simply allow my voice to guide you back, gently, like a hand on your shoulder. This is a safe space. Everything is handled. Let's begin.

Close your eyes now. [5 second pause] And just for a moment, notice where you are. [6 second pause] Notice the weight of your body against the bed. [7 second pause] Notice the temperature of the air around you. [6 second pause] And notice that you are already beginning to slow down. [8 second pause] Your body knows how to do this. It has done it every night of your life. [7 second pause] And tonight, it is going to do it beautifully. [8 second pause] Now I want you to take one slow breath in through your nose. [4 second pause] Hold it gently at the top. [3 second pause] And release it slowly through your mouth. [7 second pause] Good. [6 second pause] And another breath in. [4 second pause] Filling your lungs completely. [3 second pause] And let it go. [8 second pause] With each breath out, feel your body sinking just a little more deeply into the mattress beneath you. [7 second pause] As if the bed is gently accepting the full weight of you. [8 second pause] Every muscle softening. [6 second pause] Every thought beginning to quiet. [8 second pause] Now I want you to bring your attention to your forehead. [5 second pause] Notice if there is any tension held there. [6 second pause] Any tightness across the brow. [7 second pause] And as you exhale now, let that tension dissolve. [8 second pause] Feel the muscles of your forehead smoothing out, becoming soft and still. [9 second pause] That's right. [7 second pause] Now your eyes. [5 second pause] The muscles behind and around your eyes. [6 second pause] Let them go completely. [8 second pause] So relaxed that they have no desire to open. [9 second pause] Your jaw now. [5 second pause] Let it drop just slightly. [6 second pause] Let there be a small space between your upper and lower teeth. [7 second pause] Your tongue resting softly at the bottom of your mouth. [8 second pause] Good. [7 second pause] Your neck and shoulders now. [6 second pause] These are the places where so many people carry the weight of the day. [7 second pause] The planning, the preparing, the running through scenarios. [8 second pause] Let all of that go now. [9 second pause] Just for tonight. [8 second pause] Let your shoulders drop away from your ears. [7 second pause] Feel the muscles along the back of your neck lengthening and releasing. [9 second pause] That's it. [8 second pause] Now your arms. [5 second pause] Your upper arms, your elbows, your forearms. [6 second pause] Your wrists and hands and every finger. [7 second pause] Letting them become heavy and still. [8 second pause] Like warm sand settling to the bottom of still water. [10 second pause] Your chest now. [5 second pause] Your ribcage rising and falling with each breath. [7 second pause] Notice how your breathing has already slowed. [8 second pause] Already deepened. [9 second pause] Your body doing exactly what it knows how to do. [10 second pause] Your stomach and abdomen. [5 second pause] Soft and relaxed. [7 second pause] No tension there. [8 second pause] Your lower back releasing into the mattress. [9 second pause] Your hips growing heavy. [8 second pause] Your thighs. [6 second pause] Your knees. [6 second pause] Your calves and shins. [7 second pause] Your ankles. [6 second pause] And your feet. [7 second pause] All the way to the tips of your toes. [9 second pause] Your whole body now, from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. [8 second pause] Completely relaxed. [10 second pause] Deeply at ease. [10 second pause]

And as you rest here in this beautiful state of relaxation, I want you to imagine that you are standing at the edge of a calm, still lake. [8 second pause] It is late evening. [7 second pause] The sky above you is a deep, velvety blue, scattered with the first stars of the night. [9 second pause] The air is warm and soft against your skin. [8 second pause] And the surface of the lake in front of you is perfectly still. [10 second pause] Like a mirror. [9 second pause] Reflecting the sky, the stars, the quiet light of the moon just beginning to rise. [10 second pause] There is no wind here. [8 second pause] No noise. [9 second pause] Just the gentle sound of your own breathing, and the soft lapping of water at the shore. [10 second pause] You feel completely safe here. [8 second pause] Completely at home. [9 second pause] This is your place. [10 second pause] And as you stand at the edge of this lake, you notice something interesting. [8 second pause] The water is not just still on the surface. [9 second pause] It is still all the way down. [10 second pause] Deep and clear and undisturbed. [9 second pause] And you realize that this stillness is not emptiness. [8 second pause] It is strength. [10 second pause] The lake does not move because something is pushing it. [8 second pause] It is still because it is settled. [9 second pause] Because it knows exactly what it is. [10 second pause] And as you look out across that still, dark water, you feel something similar beginning to settle inside of you. [9 second pause] A quiet certainty. [10 second pause] A sense of knowing. [11 second pause] You sit down at the edge of the lake now, on the soft, cool grass. [8 second pause] Your legs stretched out in front of you. [9 second pause] Your hands resting in your lap. [10 second pause] And you let yourself simply be here. [12 second pause] Breathing. [10 second pause] Still. [11 second pause] At peace. [12 second pause]

And now, as you rest beside this still lake, I am going to count down from ten to one. [6 second pause] And with each number I count, you will find yourself drifting deeper and deeper into a state of beautiful, peaceful relaxation. [7 second pause] So deep that by the time I reach one, you will be in a wonderfully calm and receptive state of mind. [8 second pause] Ready to receive these suggestions at the deepest level. [9 second pause] Ten. [10 second pause] Sinking deeper now. [9 second pause] Deeper and more relaxed with every breath. [10 second pause] Nine. [10 second pause] Letting go of the day completely. [9 second pause] Every thought, every plan, every scenario you have been running. [10 second pause] Just letting them drift away like leaves on the surface of the water. [11 second pause] Eight. [10 second pause] Deeper still. [9 second pause] Your body so heavy, so comfortable, so completely at ease. [11 second pause] Seven. [10 second pause] Your mind growing quieter with each count. [9 second pause] Quieter and more still. [11 second pause] Six. [10 second pause] Halfway down now. [9 second pause] And the deeper you go, the better you feel. [10 second pause] The more relaxed, the more at peace, the more settled within yourself. [11 second pause] Five. [10 second pause] Drifting beautifully. [9 second pause] Like the moon's reflection on the surface of the lake. [11 second pause] Perfectly still. [10 second pause] Perfectly present. [12 second pause] Four. [11 second pause] Deeper and deeper. [10 second pause] Almost all the way down now. [12 second pause] Three. [11 second pause] So deeply relaxed. [10 second pause] So completely at ease. [13 second pause] Two. [12 second pause] Almost there. [11 second pause] On the next count, you will arrive at the deepest, most peaceful level of relaxation you have experienced tonight. [12 second pause] One. [15 second pause] There you are. [12 second pause] Deep, still, and beautifully calm. [15 second pause]

And from this deep, still place, I want to speak to the part of you that has been preparing for tomorrow. [10 second pause] The part that has been running through numbers, rehearsing concessions, mapping out how much ground you might give before the other person even speaks. [11 second pause] I want you to know that this part of you has been trying to protect you. [9 second pause] It has been trying to keep you safe. [10 second pause] And you can thank it for that. [9 second pause] And then, gently, you can let it rest. [12 second pause] Because here is what your deeper mind already knows. [10 second pause] You do not need to pre-concede anything. [9 second pause] You do not need to give ground before the battle has even begun. [11 second pause] Your number is your number for a reason. [10 second pause] And that reason is sound. [12 second pause] Imagine now, sitting at the edge of that still lake. [9 second pause] And in front of you, on the calm surface of the water, you see your number. [10 second pause] Just floating there, clear and steady. [11 second pause] Not anxious. [9 second pause] Not apologetic. [10 second pause] Just there. [12 second pause] Solid and real. [11 second pause] And you notice that the number does not move. [10 second pause] Even as a gentle breeze passes over the water. [9 second pause] Even as ripples form at the edges. [10 second pause] Your number stays exactly where it is. [12 second pause] Steady. [11 second pause] Grounded. [13 second pause] And you feel that same steadiness inside of you now. [10 second pause] A deep, quiet confidence. [9 second pause] Not the loud, performative confidence that needs to prove itself. [11 second pause] But the quiet confidence of someone who simply knows their worth. [12 second pause] Tomorrow morning, when you are on that call, you will feel this same stillness inside of you. [10 second pause] Like the lake. [9 second pause] Like the number on the water. [11 second pause] Unmoved. [10 second pause] Calm. [12 second pause] When the other person pushes back, you will feel it. [9 second pause] And you will pause. [8 second pause] And in that pause, you will feel the stillness of this lake inside your chest. [11 second pause] And from that stillness, you will speak clearly. [10 second pause] Calmly. [13 second pause] There is something powerful about a person who does not flinch. [10 second pause] Who does not rush to fill silence with concessions. [11 second pause] Who can sit in the discomfort of a pause and let it be. [12 second pause] That person is you. [11 second pause] That has always been you.
