Deep Relaxation Hypnosis for Stress Relief and Releasing Tension

Welcome to this hypnotherapy session designed to help you release stress and experience deep, genuine relaxation. [3 second pause] Before we begin, let's take a moment to get you set up comfortably. [3 second pause] If you're sitting, allow your back to be supported by whatever you're resting against, and let your hands rest naturally on your lap or at your sides. [4 second pause] If you're lying down, stretch out fully, letting your legs fall gently apart and your arms rest beside you, palms facing upward if that feels comfortable. [4 second pause] Take a moment now to adjust your position until you feel truly at ease. [4 second pause] This session uses progressive relaxation, which simply means we'll move through the body gradually, inviting each area to soften and let go. [3 second pause] There is nothing you need to do, nothing you need to figure out. [3 second pause] Your only job is to follow the sound of my voice and allow yourself to receive this rest. [4 second pause] Hypnosis is a natural state of focused relaxation that you move in and out of every day, that pleasant drifting feeling just before sleep, or the absorbed calm of being lost in a good film. [4 second pause] You are always in control, and you can open your eyes at any time should you need to. [3 second pause] Please do not listen to this session while driving or operating any machinery. [3 second pause] When you're ready, allow your eyes to gently close. [4 second pause] And let's begin.

Take a slow, full breath in through your nose. [5 second pause] And let it go completely, through your mouth. [6 second pause] Good. [4 second pause] Take another deep breath, filling the lungs from the bottom up. [5 second pause] And as you exhale, let your shoulders drop just a little further than you thought they could. [7 second pause] That's right. [5 second pause] Now let your breathing find its own natural rhythm. [6 second pause] There's nothing to control here, just allowing the breath to move as it wants to. [7 second pause] Bring your awareness to the top of your head. [5 second pause] Imagine a gentle warmth beginning to gather there, like soft afternoon sunlight resting on the crown of your skull. [7 second pause] And as you breathe out, feel that warmth begin to spread slowly downward, across your forehead. [8 second pause] Notice the muscles of your forehead. [5 second pause] Allow them to smooth out, to soften, as though every small line and crease is simply melting away. [8 second pause] That warmth drifts down now to your eyes. [5 second pause] The muscles around your eyes growing heavy and still. [7 second pause] Your eyelids resting gently, perfectly comfortable just where they are. [8 second pause] And down to your cheeks, your jaw. [5 second pause] Let your teeth part just slightly, your jaw hanging loose and easy. [7 second pause] The muscles of your face fully releasing now. [8 second pause] That wave of warmth moves down through your neck. [6 second pause] All the tension that collects there, all the weight of the day, simply dissolving on your next out-breath. [8 second pause] And into your shoulders. [5 second pause] Let them drop. [6 second pause] Let them fall heavy and loose. [7 second pause] Your shoulders carrying so much every day, and right now, they can set it all down. [9 second pause] Down through your upper arms, your elbows, your forearms. [6 second pause] Into your wrists and hands, all the way to the tips of your fingers. [8 second pause] Your arms feeling heavy and warm, loose and limp, completely at rest. [9 second pause] Now the warmth spreads across your chest. [6 second pause] With each breath, your chest rises and falls in its own easy rhythm. [7 second pause] No effort needed. [5 second pause] Just allowing. [8 second pause] Down through your stomach, your abdomen. [6 second pause] Any tightness held there simply releasing, letting go. [8 second pause] Into your lower back, your hips. [6 second pause] The whole weight of your body sinking down, supported, held, completely safe. [9 second pause] Down through your thighs, your knees, your calves. [6 second pause] Into your ankles and feet, all the way to the tips of your toes. [8 second pause] Your entire body now, heavy and relaxed, warm and still. [10 second pause] With every breath you take, you drift a little deeper into this beautiful calm. [8 second pause] And every sound you hear around you simply helps you relax more fully, more completely. [9 second pause]

And now, as you rest in this deep comfort, I'd like to invite your imagination to take you somewhere. [6 second pause] Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a gentle forest path. [7 second pause] The light here is soft and golden, filtering down through a canopy of tall trees, dappling the ground in warm, shifting patterns. [8 second pause] The air is clean and cool, carrying the faint green scent of leaves and earth after rain. [9 second pause] You breathe it in, and something inside you recognizes this place. [7 second pause] Something in you knows this is a place of complete safety. [8 second pause] You begin to walk slowly along the path. [6 second pause] Beneath your feet, soft ground, perhaps moss or fallen leaves, giving gently with each step. [8 second pause] You hear the sound of birdsong somewhere above you, easy and unhurried. [7 second pause] And further ahead, the quiet murmur of water. [8 second pause] With each step you take along this path, you feel lighter. [7 second pause] As though the weight you've been carrying is being gently lifted from your shoulders with every footfall. [9 second pause] The path opens ahead into a small, sunlit clearing. [6 second pause] At the center of this clearing is a still, glassy pool, fed by a slow stream that tumbles quietly over smooth stones at its edge. [9 second pause] You find a perfect resting place beside the pool, perhaps a flat, warm rock, or soft grass in full sunlight. [7 second pause] You settle down here, completely at ease. [8 second pause] The surface of the water reflects the sky above, a deep, clear blue. [7 second pause] You look at it and feel something in your chest begin to open. [9 second pause] This is your place. [6 second pause] Nothing can disturb you here. [7 second pause] Nothing needs your attention. [8 second pause] You are simply here, present, resting, and free. And as you rest in this beautiful place, I'd like to deepen this experience for you. [6 second pause] In a moment, I'm going to count down from ten to one. [5 second pause] With every number, with every count, you will drift twice as deep as you are now. [6 second pause] By the time we reach one, you will be in a state of profound, peaceful relaxation. [7 second pause] Ten. [10 second pause] Drifting deeper now. [9 second pause] Nine. [10 second pause] Every muscle in your body more loose and limp than before. [9 second pause] Eight. [10 second pause] Sinking down, deeper and deeper. [9 second pause] Seven. [10 second pause] Letting go of everything that no longer serves you. [9 second pause] Six. [10 second pause] Halfway there, and already so deeply relaxed. [9 second pause] Five. [10 second pause] Deeper still, calm and peaceful, calm and peaceful. [10 second pause] Four. [10 second pause] Your mind quiet, your body completely at rest. [10 second pause] Three. [10 second pause] Almost there now, sinking beautifully into this deep, healing calm. [10 second pause] Two. [12 second pause] There may be a pleasant heaviness in your limbs, or perhaps a floating lightness. [8 second pause] Whatever you feel, it is simply your body's way of telling you that you are doing this perfectly. [10 second pause] Every sensation you notice is a sign that you are going deeper, releasing more, letting go more fully. [12 second pause]

Your mind may choose to accept the suggestions that serve you most deeply right now, and simply allow any others to pass through like clouds across a clear sky. [8 second pause] And in this open, receptive state, I want you to know something important. [7 second pause] Stress is not who you are. [6 second pause] It is something that has visited you, something you have been carrying. [7 second pause] And just as you can set down a heavy bag after a long walk, you are setting it down right now. [10 second pause] With every breath you take, you are releasing tension from your body. [5 second pause] Your body feeling comfortable and rested, as though you've had the most restorative sleep. [6 second pause] Three. [5 second pause] Energy beginning to return, a pleasant vitality moving through your limbs. [6 second pause] Four. [5 second pause] Your mind bright and clear, refreshed and calm, ready to meet the rest of your day with ease. [6 second pause] Five. [5 second pause] Eyes open, fully awake, fully aware, taking a deep breath in and letting it go. [7 second pause]

Take a moment to gently stretch, moving your fingers and toes, rolling your shoulders if that feels good. [6 second pause] Notice how you feel right now, in this moment. [5 second pause] Carry that feeling with you. [6 second pause] You have just given your mind and body a profound gift, and the effects of this session will continue to ripple through your day and your week.
