Welcome to this hypnotherapy session designed to help you rehearse and anchor your live cooking demonstration at tomorrow's trade show. [3 second pause] Before we begin, let's get you set up properly. [3 second pause] Find a comfortable position, either sitting upright in a chair with your feet flat on the floor and your hands resting naturally on your thighs, or lying down if you prefer. [3 second pause] You do not need to hold anything or prepare anything physically. [3 second pause] Simply allow your body to settle. [3 second pause] You will keep your eyes closed throughout most of this session, so when you are ready, go ahead and gently close them now. [3 second pause] This session uses a technique called mental rehearsal combined with hypnotic suggestion. [3 second pause] What this means is that your unconscious mind does not fully distinguish between a vividly felt experience and a real one. [3 second pause] By running through your demo in a deeply relaxed, focused state tonight, your nervous system will encode it as something you have already done successfully. [3 second pause] Tomorrow, your body will simply follow the pattern it already knows. [3 second pause] You do not need to try hard during this session. [3 second pause] In fact, the less you try and the more you simply allow, the more effective this will be. [3 second pause] There is nothing to worry about, nothing to get right. [3 second pause] Just let my voice guide you through. [3 second pause] If at any point you feel uncomfortable, you can open your eyes and return to full awareness immediately. [3 second pause] You are always in control. [3 second pause] Now, settle in, take one easy breath, and let us begin.

Press your palms together in front of you now. [4 second pause] Feel the warmth building between them. [5 second pause] Press a little firmer. [4 second pause] Notice the pressure, the heat, the solidity of your own hands meeting each other. [6 second pause] Now, as you hold that pressure, I want you to feel something interesting beginning to happen. [5 second pause] Those hands are beginning to feel as though they want to stay together. [5 second pause] As if the warmth between them is becoming a kind of gentle magnetism. [6 second pause] Try to pull them apart now. [4 second pause] You notice they want to stay. [5 second pause] That is your unconscious mind already responding. [6 second pause] That is the part of you that runs your hands when you cook, that knows every motion before your thinking mind catches up. [7 second pause] Good. Now release your hands and let them rest comfortably on your thighs. [5 second pause] Feel the warmth remaining in your palms as they settle. [6 second pause] That warmth is going to travel now. [5 second pause] Moving up through your wrists, through your forearms, a gentle spreading warmth. [7 second pause] Into your elbows. [6 second pause] Up into your upper arms. [8 second pause] A kind of inner kitchen, a space that is entirely yours. [7 second pause] Feel the ground beneath your feet, solid and steady. [8 second pause] Sense the familiar weight of your body, grounded and sure. [7 second pause] In this inner space, everything is exactly as it should be. And now, in this deeply settled state, your unconscious mind is completely open and receptive.
