60-Minute NSDR Sleep Session - Fall Asleep Fast

Settle into whatever position feels most comfortable for sleep. [4 second pause] You can lie on your back, curl up on your side, or arrange yourself in any way that allows your body to sink into the surface beneath you. [5 second pause] There is nothing to do and nowhere to be. [4 second pause] The entire purpose of this session is to help you release the day and drift into deep, natural sleep. [5 second pause] Any sounds you happen to hear, any sensations that arise, can simply become part of the relaxation. [5 second pause] Your only task is to allow. [6 second pause]

Bring your attention to this present moment. [5 second pause] Notice the feeling of your body resting against the bed or surface beneath you. [6 second pause] Feel the weight of your body being held. [7 second pause] Notice where you make contact. [6 second pause] The back of your head. [5 second pause] Your shoulders. [5 second pause] Your hips. [5 second pause] Your heels. [6 second pause] All of you, completely supported. [7 second pause] Now bring awareness to your breath. [5 second pause] Not trying to change it. [5 second pause] Simply noticing. [6 second pause] Notice the gentle rise. [5 second pause] And fall. [6 second pause] The way your body breathes itself, without any effort. [7 second pause] Each breath a small wave. [5 second pause] Rolling in. [5 second pause] Rolling out. [6 second pause] And now, let's begin to slow things down. [6 second pause] Take a long, slow breath in through your nose if that's comfortable. [6 second pause] Filling your lungs gently. [5 second pause] And now exhale very slowly through your mouth, letting the breath take its time leaving. [8 second pause] That's right. [6 second pause] Again, a slow breath in. [6 second pause] And an extended, gentle breath out, like a long, soft sigh. [8 second pause] Feeling your shoulders drop a little more with each exhale. [7 second pause] One more time, breathing in slowly. [6 second pause] And breathing out, longer and slower, letting your whole body soften as the air leaves. [9 second pause] Beautiful. [7 second pause] Now let your breathing return to its own natural rhythm. [6 second pause] Your body knows exactly how to breathe. [6 second pause] Trust it. [7 second pause] With each breath out, you are signaling to your nervous system that it is safe to let go. [7 second pause] Safe to downshift. [6 second pause] Safe to rest. [8 second pause]

And now we begin a gentle rotation of awareness through the body. [6 second pause] There is nothing to do and nothing to change. [6 second pause] Simply bring your attention to each part as it is named. [7 second pause] Notice whatever is there. [6 second pause] Sensations may come. [5 second pause] Or they may not. [6 second pause] Both are perfect. [7 second pause] Bring your awareness to the top of your head. [6 second pause] The crown. [6 second pause] Just noticing. [7 second pause] Now your forehead. [5 second pause] Letting the skin become smooth. [7 second pause] Your eyebrows. [5 second pause] Allowing the space between them to soften. [7 second pause] Your eyelids. [5 second pause] Heavy and relaxed. [7 second pause] Your cheeks. [5 second pause] Soft. [6 second pause] Your jaw. [5 second pause] Letting the teeth part slightly, the tongue rest softly in the mouth. [8 second pause] Your whole face becoming smooth and heavy. [7 second pause] Now bring awareness to the back of your head. [6 second pause] Where it meets the pillow. [6 second pause] Feeling that support. [7 second pause] Your neck. [5 second pause] Letting it go. [7 second pause] Your shoulders. [5 second pause] Noticing where you might be holding tension, and simply allowing those muscles to soften. [8 second pause] Letting the shoulders drop away from your ears. [7 second pause] Your upper arms. [5 second pause] Heavy. [6 second pause] Your elbows. [5 second pause] Relaxed. [6 second pause] Your forearms. [5 second pause] Warm and loose. [7 second pause] Your wrists. [5 second pause] Your palms. [6 second pause] Each finger, one by one, becoming heavy and relaxed. [8 second pause] Both arms, from shoulders to fingertips, loose and limp. [7 second pause] Like heavy ropes. [7 second pause] Now bring awareness to your chest. [6 second pause] Feeling the gentle rise and fall. [7 second pause] Your belly. [5 second pause] Soft. [6 second pause] Rising and falling with each breath. [7 second pause] Your lower back. [5 second pause] Sinking into the surface beneath you. [8 second pause] Your hips. [5 second pause] Heavy. [6 second pause] Your thighs. [5 second pause] Letting them sink down. [7 second pause] Your knees. [5 second pause] Relaxed. [6 second pause] Your calves. [5 second pause] Warm and heavy. [7 second pause] Your ankles. [5 second pause] Letting go. [6 second pause] Your feet. [5 second pause] Each toe, one by one, relaxing completely. [8 second pause] Your whole body, from the crown of your head to the tips of your toes, heavy and warm and sinking down. [10 second pause]

You are doing beautifully. [7 second pause] And now, let's go even deeper. [7 second pause] Imagine that warmth is beginning to spread through your body, like honey slowly pouring. [8 second pause] Warm, golden, heavy. [7 second pause] Starting at the top of your head. [6 second pause] A pleasant, drowsy warmth spreading across your scalp. [8 second pause] Flowing down through your forehead. [6 second pause] Behind your eyes. [6 second pause] Through your cheeks. [6 second pause] Your jaw. [7 second pause] Your whole face becoming warm and heavy. [8 second pause] The warmth continues down through your neck. [6 second pause] Across your shoulders. [6 second pause] Flowing like warm sunlight down through each arm. [8 second pause] Upper arms. [5 second pause] Elbows. [5 second pause] Forearms. [5 second pause] Wrists. [6 second pause] Hands. [5 second pause] Fingertips. [7 second pause] Both arms so heavy, so warm, so relaxed that they feel as if they could sink right through the bed. [10 second pause] The warmth spreads across your chest. [6 second pause] Your belly. [6 second pause] Your lower back. [7 second pause] Down through your hips. [6 second pause] Your thighs, growing heavier and warmer with each breath. [8 second pause] Your knees. [5 second pause] Your calves. [6 second pause] Your ankles. [5 second pause] Your feet. [6 second pause] Every part of you wrapped in this pleasant, drowsy warmth. [9 second pause] So heavy. [7 second pause] So warm. [7 second pause] So deeply relaxed. [8 second pause] And now, with each slow breath out, you go twice as deep. [7 second pause] Breathing in. [6 second pause] And breathing out, sinking deeper. [10 second pause] Breathing in. [6 second pause] And breathing out, twice as deep. [10 second pause] Breathing in. [6 second pause] And breathing out, letting go completely. [12 second pause] That's right. [8 second pause] Deeper and deeper. [8 second pause] Now I'm going to count from ten down to one. [7 second pause] With each number, you go deeper into relaxation. [8 second pause] Ten. [10 second pause] Sinking down. [8 second pause] Nine. [9 second pause] Deeper and deeper. [8 second pause] Eight. [9 second pause] So heavy. [8 second pause] Seven. [9 second pause] So warm. [8 second pause] Six. [9 second pause] Letting go of the day completely. [9 second pause] Five. [10 second pause] Halfway there, sinking deeper still. [9 second pause] Four. [10 second pause] Nothing to do, nowhere to be. [9 second pause] Three. [10 second pause] Drifting down. [9 second pause] Two. [10 second pause] Almost there. [9 second pause] One. [12 second pause] Deeper than you have been all day. [10 second pause]

And in this deep state of rest, your nervous system is downshifting beautifully. [8 second pause] Moving from alertness to calm. [7 second pause] From tension to ease. [7 second pause] Your body knows exactly how to do this. [7 second pause] It has done it thousands of times. [8 second pause] You are simply allowing it to happen now. [8 second pause] Every system in your body is slowing down. [7 second pause] Your heart rate, settling into a slow, steady rhythm. [8 second pause] Your breathing, becoming shallow and soft. [8 second pause] Your muscles, releasing any remaining hold. [8 second pause] This is what your body has been waiting for. [7 second pause] Permission to let go. [8 second pause] And you give that permission now. [8 second pause] There is nothing more you need to figure out tonight. [8 second pause] Nothing to solve. [7 second pause] Nothing to remember. [7 second pause] The thinking mind can rest. [8 second pause] Any thoughts that drift through, you can simply watch them float by like clouds across a sky. [10 second pause] You don't need to follow them. [7 second pause] You don't need to engage. [7 second pause] Just let them drift. [9 second pause] And now, a simple ritual you can use any night when sleep feels far away. [8 second pause] Three slow breaths. [6 second pause] Breathing in slowly. [6 second pause] And breathing out, thinking silently, sleep now. [10 second pause] Breathing in. [6 second pause] And breathing out, sleep now. [10 second pause] Breathing in. [6 second pause] And breathing out, sleep now. [12 second pause] And sleep follows. [8 second pause] Automatically. [7 second pause] Effortlessly. [8 second pause] Your body learns this signal. [7 second pause] Three slow breaths and the words sleep now, and your nervous system knows exactly what to do. [10 second pause] Tonight, and every night, your sleep is deep and restorative. [8 second pause] You sleep through the night, or you wake briefly and return to sleep easily. [9 second pause] And should any genuine emergency arise in the night, you would instantly become fully alert, capable, and clear-headed. [10 second pause] And afterwards, you would return to sleep just as easily. [9 second pause] Your body knows the difference between emergency and everything else. [8 second pause] Tonight, there is no emergency. [7 second pause] Only rest. [8 second pause] Only peace. [8 second pause] Only sleep. [10 second pause] You will wake at the perfect time tomorrow, or whenever you need to, feeling refreshed and alert. [9 second pause] Never groggy. [7 second pause] Rested and ready. [8 second pause] And you may have pleasant dreams. [7 second pause] Dreams that leave you feeling restored. [9 second pause]

And as you continue drifting deeper, imagine tomorrow. [8 second pause] Waking naturally. [7 second pause] Or the alarm gently bringing you back. [8 second pause] Your eyes opening. [6 second pause] Feeling rested. [7 second pause] Refreshed. [6 second pause] The body feeling good. [7 second pause] The mind clear. [7 second pause] Whatever the day holds, you meet it from a place of rest. [9 second pause] And the night after that, and every night, you carry this ability with you. [9 second pause] The ability to downshift. [7 second pause] To let go. [7 second pause] To sleep deeply. [8 second pause] It is already yours. [7 second pause] It has always been yours. [8 second pause] You are simply remembering. [10 second pause]

And now there is no need to emerge. [10 second pause] No need to return. [10 second pause] This session does not end with waking. [10 second pause] It ends with sleep. [12 second pause] You can simply let my voice fade into the background. [10 second pause] Becoming softer and softer. [10 second pause] More distant. [12 second pause] Until it is just another sound in the night. [12 second pause] And then it is gone. [15 second pause] And you are asleep. [12 second pause] Deep asleep. [12 second pause] Red. [15 second pause] Sinking deeper. [15 second pause] Orange. [15 second pause] Deeper still. [15 second pause] Yellow. [15 second pause] So heavy. [15 second pause] Green. [15 second pause] So warm. [15 second pause] Blue. [15 second pause] Drifting down. [15 second pause] Lavender. [15 second pause] Deeper and deeper. [15 second pause] White. [20 second pause] Soft white light. [20 second pause] And silence. [20 second pause] Sleep now. [25 second pause] Deep sleep. [30 second pause]

Drifting. [20 second pause] Floating. [20 second pause] So heavy. [20 second pause] So warm. [20 second pause] Sleep now. [30 second pause]
