Take a deep, comfortable breath in through your nose, feeling the cool air flowing in. And as you exhale through your mouth, allow your body to settle more comfortably into its position, like sinking into a soft cloud. With each breath you take, you can allow yourself to relax more and more deeply, drifting down like a feather in a gentle breeze.
Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you breathe, creating a peaceful rhythm. And with each exhalation, feel any tension simply melting away, like snow dissolving in warm sunlight. Starting from the top of your head, feel a wave of warmth and relaxation flowing downward. Let it move through your scalp, your forehead, your eyes. Feel your jaw becoming soft and loose.
This peaceful sensation continues down through your neck, dissolving any tension it finds. Into your shoulders, which become heavy and comfortable. Down your arms, through your elbows, into your forearms and hands. Each finger relaxing completely.
Your mind may drift, and that's perfectly fine, like clouds floating across a summer sky. Simply allow my voice to guide you as you continue to relax more deeply, sinking into a state of perfect tranquility.
The relaxation flows down through your chest and back, like warm honey spreading slowly downward. Through your abdomen, releasing any remaining tension. Into your hips, becoming heavier and more relaxed.
Notice the weight of your body against the surface beneath you, as if you're being gently cradled. The peaceful sensation continues down your thighs, through your knees. Into your calves and ankles, all tension dissolving away. Finally, reaching your feet and toes, each one becoming completely relaxed.
Feel the points of contact where your body meets the surface, allowing each point to become heavier and more relaxed, as if you're slowly merging with the surface beneath you. With each breath now, you can count yourself down deeper into relaxation, from ten to one. Ten... drifting deeper. Nine... twice as relaxed. Eight... letting go completely.
