In the next few moments, you'll discover how quickly your mind can create powerful positive changes. I'm going to hypnotize you now. You are already ready for this. You know it, don't you? Your mind is already beginning to focus on my voice. That's right.
Now, let's begin by allowing your body to settle into complete comfort. Take a deep breath in through your nose... and slowly exhale through your mouth, releasing any tension you may be holding.
Place your hand against your forehead now. Notice how it stays there, perfectly still and comfortable. It cannot move until I give the command. Try to move it... but you can't. The harder you try, the more stuck it becomes, and the deeper you go.
As your hand remains there, begin to notice how relaxation is starting to flow through your entire body. Starting from the very top of your head, feel a warm, golden wave of relaxation beginning to spread. This wave moves slowly down from your scalp... across your forehead... around your eyes, allowing them to become heavy and comfortable.
The relaxation continues to flow down through your cheeks... your jaw, letting it go completely slack and loose. Down through your neck and shoulders now... feel those shoulders dropping down, releasing all the weight they've been carrying.
This beautiful wave of comfort moves down your arms... through your upper arms... your elbows... your forearms... all the way down to your fingertips, except for that one hand that remains perfectly still against your forehead.
Now the relaxation flows down through your chest... feel your breathing becoming slower and deeper with each breath you take. Down through your abdomen... your lower back, releasing any tension stored there.
Like a gentle river of peace, this relaxation continues down through your hips... your thighs, becoming heavy and comfortable... down through your knees... your calves... your ankles... and all the way down to your toes.
Your entire body is now completely relaxed, except for that one hand that remains against your forehead, growing more and more stuck with each passing moment.
Imagine now that you're standing at the top of a beautiful, safe staircase. This staircase has exactly ten steps, and with each step down, you'll go twice as deep into this wonderful state of relaxation.
In a moment, I'm going to count from ten down to one, and with each number, you'll take one step down this staircase, going deeper and deeper.
Ten... taking that first step down, feeling yourself beginning to drift deeper.
Nine... another step down, that hand becoming even more stuck against your forehead.
Eight... deeper and deeper, like sinking into the most comfortable bed you've ever experienced.
Seven... halfway down now, feeling so peaceful, so safe, so completely at ease.
Six... going deeper still, your mind becoming quieter and more focused on my voice.
Five... that's right, just letting go completely now, trusting in this process.
Four... deeper and deeper, like floating on a calm, warm ocean of tranquility.
Three... almost there now, feeling so wonderfully relaxed and comfortable.
Two... one more step, going so deep now, deeper than you've ever been before.
One... you've reached the bottom of the staircase, and you're now in the deepest, most comfortable state of hypnosis.
When I count to three, your hand will drop down and you'll go even deeper into this beautiful state. One... feeling that hand beginning to loosen... Two... almost ready to let go completely... Three... release.
